Well the Yazidis are usually referred to in 19th-century works of all kinds as devil worshippers. This is because the accounts of their chief divinity bear some narrative similarity to the Lucifer/Iblis narratives of Christianity and Islam, respectively

it would help if i could remember the spelling, cause there are so many, yazidi, yezidi, ezidi, etc. etc. -- if it comes back to me, mate, i will share, but this was really an ancient misunderstanding and god knows how they transliterated.
