but i'm in a job i hate and i can't do anything else. i don't need people to tell me that i'm a bad human for using OOP, that really bristels me.
Though I have also made money with low-level C
my main problem with the JS etc. is that it's not a case of just knowing a language, you have to know a zillion shitty fraqmeworks -- sorry, is said that before, nyingen you even mentioned it in your message, so i won't repeat
mirrorbird: seriously, I feel your pain. The most pro (well, semi-pro) coding I have done has all been in Java
and I'm like, "... please judge me more..."
but,w hat other job can i do? nothing. so i write mediocre code. woot
You can throw anything at js and it's like, "yeah, that's fine. Whatevs."
it's just a boring job to me now, i have no love for it any more. as a child i loved computers, they fascinated me, i wanted to know everything about the memory and the CPU....
I'm very okay with any sort of typing... I just struggle to organize code when there are so many styles of coding in one language. At least in python there are sane propositions for style, data flow, even class organization... but in js, I don't know...
Lisp barely qualifies as FP
