was this written before or after Distant Theme of Hope?

that is a good question actually. I always knew that the two songs would be intertwined (hence the similar names) because the melodies were kind of similar. If I remember correctly, Hope was first, then came Distant Theme. Hope was written to be performed by a band, hence the midi-esque sound because I wanted the instruments to reflect the respective instrument in the band. Hope was heavily inspired by Pink Floyd as I wanted to make a band-project in a similar way. The biggest influences were "Shine on you crazy diamond" and "Us & Them" by Pink Floyd with the opening saxophone part for example. The end part should simulate a slide-guitar solo being inspired by Floyd's "High Hopes".
