if you move (with arrow keys) away from the line you are typing, then you are moving a second cursor, and you can move it somewhere and hold down the COPY key, which will copy that part you moved over.

the BBC emulator is horrible to type in -- the Beeb has a rather strange keyboard, and the PC keyboard is mapped by *position* of the keys. so you want to type something like = and you can't find it
