As far as I can tell Jochen Hippel is not even mentioned in the credits, 1 star for the effort.

>> Well it can make it sound better, in someone's opinion,
Yep, that's the only thing I wanted to say. a) I just like Jogeir's lead sound a bit better b) I knew Jogeir's version before Hippel's version and c) thought it was Jogeir original which is not true, I know.
And I'd be proud if someone ports my tune (crediting me of course), if not, then not so happy ofc.

I'm in big trouble following Rapture: 1:1 port to Amiga mod (good tracking) even with almost identical sounding samples. How on earth it can beat the original?
All the melodies, all the basslines, all the percussions, all little nyances were composed by Hippel, while Jogeir _ported_ them to mod. I guess i can never understand this logic

Nopes sorry The lead remains exactly the same, slightly different sound on it doesn't make it better. Well it can make it sound better, in someone's opinion, but don't you care about the composition at all?
What if someone makes 1:1 copy of one of your tunes with slightly different sounds, would you consider it more your tune or the remaker's tune?

serp: The lead sample is (a bit) different sample on Jogeir's port, and that's the element that I find better than the original. So hope you understand the logic now
