Hard to say.... can't think of any right now. Watched both "Legend" and "Labyrinth" just some 5 years ago. Missed them both, but watched "Neverending Story" like a 100 times when I was a kid.

opposite case: when did you see a film and think "this film kinda sucks but the music is great?" -- my childhood case would be Legend (the one with the unicorns). i know there were different versions, i think there may have been music issues there

I love them both.... Listened more to Vangelis in my life time. But did see J-M Jarre live once when he did a show in my hometown Göteborg, about the time when he realesed Oxygene 9.

J-M Jarre did more "electronic" sounding music in that period, but Vangelis sounded more "natural" or orchestral/ambient, but still electronic. Hard to describe...

A real EPIC theme is Vangelis work for Blade Runner. Still world class work, better than anything I've heard so far.
