Here's a pretty curious case. Mateus (Ondřej Matějka) from Czechia released tracker music in the demoscene in the 1990s seemingly without getting much if any attention. Then a Lithuanian guy released some of his songs in 1995 under his own name on a c-cassette ...and that stuff achieved a "cult status" among fans of dungeon synth genre. While preparing a new release of that tape in 2020, one person from the dungeon synth community found out that the music had been ripped (song titles had not been changed) so they attribute it now to the original authors. Mateus later went on making music for games like Euro Truck Simulator and ARMA. The tape also contained intro and outro which were taken from tracker music artists Blackwolf, Ranger Rick (Benjamin Reed) and Ellipse .
