Post your favorite guitar solo. I love guitar solos and need to know more of them, plus if you can tell more about them. No matter really what kind of genre.

I do not want to reveal the best stuff, but here is some more good ones... Al Di Meola - Two to Tango (I guess 1:59-2:43 counts as guitar solo) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzWgFzuraNM The Mahavishnu Orchestra - Dawn (John McLaughlin on guitar, the solo starts at 1:19) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7SoYb9KLDE Allan Holdsworth - The Sixteen Men of Tain (this has no any keyboards, just synthguitars, but the solo is played with a normal electric guitar) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L6pVnb95p0c Muddy Waters - You Gonna Need My Help (an ear screeching slide playing with a plain electric guitar sound) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NyL4pDjVL6U Frank Zappa & The Mothers of Invention - Inca Roads (the guitar solo is recorded live in Helsinki and copy-pasted on the studio tracks, lead vocals by George Duke) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYxaoRVofE8 Mike Oldfield - Incantations part III (the solo is heard at 3:32-8:33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mD-KFSZulI8 Buddy Guy - Let Me Love You (also some amazing singing) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUeHlnofqAE Benny Goodman Sextet - Seven Come Eleven (Charlie Christian on guitar) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mOnhcdAMInA From Hendrix (whose songs are not well available on YouTube, try Spotify) I like the intro solo of "Power of Soul" (or "Power to Soul") from Band of Gypsys -album, "Hear My Train A Comin'" live at Berkeley Community Theatre (the last track of "Blues" album), "Pali Gap", "Villanova Junction" (Live at Woodstock), Star Spangled Banner (Live at Woodstock) |
