Yep, and bluetooth in linux can be very buggy, depending on what drivers you have

Distance information too, modes for high quality for listening or 2-direction mode for microphone but was it mono only, less sound quality, emphasis on speech area... iirc it can be forced and was there a stay-alive setting. That might be the culprit
