Du kan dricka! |
I always liked this song for a multitude of reasons, one of which was the story contained within the instrument descriptions: "My friend told me a story about a reporter friend of his, who once made a trip to London and slept in an inn located in a place called Lavender Hill. That night, she closed the windows, locked the door and went to sleep. In the morning, when she woke up, the entire room was filled with a horrendous rotting stench, and the door to her room was ajar. She was shocked, but shrugged it off as absent-mindedness; that she just forgot to close the door and something was rotting in the corridor. The following night, before she went to sleep, she again closed windows, and locked the door carefully, making sure it was latched shut from inside. In the morning, the door was ajar, and the air smelled of rotting flesh.. as if 'the devil himself had been in the room', like she told us. Obviously enough, she didn't spend another night in that house." |

WTF is a nectarine ?! |
koitsu, thanks for sharing such a weird and creepy story with us. Definitely an inspiration for Unreal ! Still it jars with the song's spirit that I find really enchanting. |
