Why those "badlines" are actually considered "bad".. it is not about the 40 wasted cycles of char fetch but the "varying" 1-3 cycles before DMA starts

They are equal lenght of cycles anyway, and as the charfetch can be postponed anyway there are no "bad lines" as of scanlines.

For c64 coders.. instead of "bad line" i'd suggestbusing terms like "charfetch" (Vic DMA for character fetch scanline), aswell for sprites, "spritefetch" as short.
