Hm, I still see those tags in the tag cloud, and when I click on them, lists of songs. Or do you mean that some songs are not tagged properly?

Okay, I discovered "show tags" option on my user preferences which enabled tags. I hope it's not turned off by default. Maybe this was an accident of some sort. I couldn't suspect there is a such setting because I don't see why anybody would want to turn tags off. |

Interesting point. Why is "show tags" a setting? (Who wants to hide them and why?) How many users have chosen NOT to show tags?

Worry not -- "show tags" is indeed the default. I have no idea how the box somehow got un-ticked on franz_opa's settings. > Why is "show tags" a setting? (Who wants to hide them and why?) LOL. I'm sure when tags were introduced on Necta back in 1964 (long before my time), there was a huge backlash, with users vigorously objecting that tags would destroy the site. Whoever came up with the idea was doubtless decried as a cruel tyrant, forcing shallow web 2.0 hype onto the userbase and heralding the death of Nectarine as they knew it. A mass emigration ensued. Eventually, a compromise was reached: the hapless admins would make tags optional, but enabled by default. Most of the users came back eventually, but some refused, bitterly griping to anyone who would listen that the site had been ruined forever. > How many users have chosen NOT to show tags? 2 |

I am pretty sure you are not that far from the truth nyingen. The "Web 2.0" argument sounds familiar :D.
