"Both me and Uncle-X are big fans of Jeff Mills and that’s what this song is about. Uncle-X gave me one Impulse Tracker sketch of his, which I bounced to audio loops, then used those to write the full song with Acid 3. My favourite little detail in the song is the hihat retriggering towards the end of the song. This was purely an accident and caused by the Acid 3 phaser / flanger plugin: There’s a bug in the plugin that added the extra triggering when the effect sweeps very close to zero delay values. But this bug sounded pretty nice so I used it in the song"

Not terrible, but extremely repetitive... my friend is into this hyper-minimal techno stuff... |

I used to listen to Jeff Mills around 2004-2007. This tune succeeds in imitating his style. It made me want to revisit his work. |
