Here i start this thread as it is incredible to discover scene stuff about us that i never knew before like this interview : http://janeway.exotica.org.uk/target.php?idr=95596&idp=4347&tgt=1 SD: What do you think about the French Amiga Scene ?? SC: French Amiga Scene? Well... Let me think... We are friends with Demons Dragons did cool demos. We have friends like Doxos, Drifters,... There are DMAcon, Cyclone, Mystics too... But many lamers think they're best ( they only want to stay arrogant). To lie is to rule We hate that! Brain Wave told lies about us in Zine ( Arakis said we would die ! ). We never said something about Arakis, and we wonder where he finds his news (it has never been true that 4 members left us! : we were 5 two months ago and we're now 9!!!).!). We hope it was a mistake. French scene is less interesting than french girls! Maybe this will change because we plan something great with Demons and others cool teams. Wait 'n see! Serpent thats incredible ! Moreover that geronymo joined us lately !!! |

BrainWave Démo was n°14 demo compo out of 30 at THE PARTY II !!! https://www.pouet.net/party_results.php?which=45&when=1991&font=none So we had a better ranking than groups like Kefrens, Oxygen, Dual Crew... And N°1 as French DEMO ! |

Serp another report : article/report from the party founded in Hack Mag7 Author: Arrakis/Brainwave First, I have to mention that this party was held in France at the end of July 1991in COLMAR. The place was the same as two years ago when the cops shookthe whole French scene (Ackerlight, etc. By the way, all rumours saying that Ackerlight would come back ARE NOT TRUE!). Well, the entrance-fee was quite high for what they called a party. When we arrived, only 10 guys were already there and just 4 Amigas! I was optimistic that more freaks would show up later. But time passed and all in Brain Wave were very bored. Nothing but really nothing to do! Of course there were some cool guys like Iris, Hysteria, LOC(?), Alcatraz (Trying to sell their coding!), Equinox etc. But the organizers were everything else than cool. Only Coburn/Analog was comprehensive and admitted that this party was sucking lame. The other organizers were, like cops, always looking what you were doing. Wether you were smoking, using illegal stuff etc. This was called a legal party! I think there was no party at all. At the end, some guys were unhappy because there were no competitions. So the organizers were forced to make some. But how lame it was! Of course NO PRIZES! And the demos were really lame (That lame that you'll never see them!). A Kick-Off compo also took place. I was forced to play for the first time of my life, because they did not have enough players! I even won the first match! But at 5.00 a.m. I was fucking bored and decided to drive home because the next day I had to visit some girls... It is really a pity that this party was not a success, because it was well located: Near the Swiss and German border...I think a lot more guys should have shown up, I don't know why they didn't. (ED: We thought about going to the party, but we expected that it would be very lame so we stayed at home..) I want to say that I got a letter from Analog complaining about the so called bad behaviour of Van Gogh/Brainwave. Because he let trash on the floor and shouted in the room. Well, guys, if you ever visit a real COOL party like in Germany (Energy-Hypnotnic-Awesome party in Karlsruhe), everything is utterly different, the organizers are laughing and drinking with you. And not crying because there is a paper on the floor! This may explain why french parties have no success. (ED: Party means fun and not boredom!) |
