We could use one or two new moderators. Mods work on approving new tunes, approving info changes for existing tunes, and general site cleanup. The ideal candidate:

I saw at least one "oldbie" reappear lately though, who still has their permissions. I had actually wondered if it was a result of this thread, or somebody going digging to ask if people wanted to come back.

Please promote Mindiell. A guy who has been around forever that we can trust. Just check that he knows his Amiga MOD from his PC XM. (Oh yeah! there's a driving test. Are you sure you can tell a Speccy tuna from an Atari??) |

Real question, Mindiiell: we know and love you. That's the trust part. What about the music part? Most of staff work is actually dealing with uploads. Please answer the following. 1. what is the best MOD? (CAREFUL! there's an easy wrong answer) 2. explain what "S3M" means, and which types of computer user would care about it. 3. random user BobJoe uploads a song that is a remix of GIANA SISTERS off the c64. explain why you would reject this upload and what you would say to the angry c64 users. seriously. 4. Chris Huelsbeck uploads a remix of GIANA SISTERS. what do you do? (this is purely mirrorbird making up his own rules, but nobody will stop me) |

Eh eh eh  1. I *really* don't know. I love SID Music, but is this a MOD ? 2. S3M : I *really* don't know ! 3 & 4. As far as I know, it's a demoscene radio, so music should be a compo at a party Well, I just prove everyone I can't be a modo for uploaded songs  |

I can give it a try however haha 1. best mod? without a doubt, bad22 by ESTRAYK  2. S3M is a screamtracker format, which is a PC (MS-DOS) tracker format. 3. If the artist themselves has no scene relevance and just so happens to know the original, doesn't justify him uploading it to Necta, even if it's a remix of a scene track. 4. I think my responce to number 3 will make answering number 4 self-explanatory :), but I'll accept it Still though, as much as I'd love to help with moderation, I am not sure if I do qualify as one, being one without much free time |

I find myself spending time on this site again. You should know me, a 20 year veteran on the site. I may need help corroborating scene relevance but i'm pretty up and up. I'm willing to stake my time on the site again as i've done some moderating stuff before too.
