velu: you can use OOP without doing ridiculous Java FactoryMakerFactoryFactoryInstance

flagDJJoge

Honestly, the reason I criticize OOP at all is because it's extremely difficult for me to wrap my head around OOPs enormous design patterns and SOLID methodology. Basically I'm simpleton. Can't be assed.

I think sceners like to trash high-level langs, in jest, because there's no VCS.NET

flagmirrorbird

i'm drunk and yelling (AGAIN). sorry. don't worry. and thx for humouring me

flagnyingen
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

I mean that you're good a top-down stuff and explaining tech

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

yeah i'm just ranting, never mind. sorry. go on

flagnyingen
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

mirrorbird: that's very evident, from the aspects of your work you've described

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

and people can tell that i have a shitty attitude so that's not possible

flagvelusip
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

It doesn't make you bad. It makes you SOLID. ;D

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

but you can't get into thta space unless you are promoted from the bottom

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

i'm *very* good at top-down design and explaining tech to normies

flagnyingen
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

mirrorbird: you're not a bad human. Didn't mean to imply that. Was just talking about evolution of programming ideas

flagDJJoge
19 Jan. 2019 10:49

that was hell

but i'm in a job i hate and i can't do anything else. i don't need people to tell me that i'm a bad human for using OOP, that really bristels me.

flagnyingen
19 Jan. 2019 10:48

Though I have also made money with low-level C

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:48

my main problem with the JS etc. is that it's not a case of just knowing a language, you have to know a zillion shitty fraqmeworks -- sorry, is said that before, nyingen you even mentioned it in your message, so i won't repeat

flagnyingen
19 Jan. 2019 10:48

mirrorbird: seriously, I feel your pain. The most pro (well, semi-pro) coding I have done has all been in Java

flagvelusip
19 Jan. 2019 10:48

and I'm like, "... please judge me more..."

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:47

but,w hat other job can i do? nothing. so i write mediocre code. woot

flagvelusip
19 Jan. 2019 10:47

You can throw anything at js and it's like, "yeah, that's fine. Whatevs."

flagmirrorbird
19 Jan. 2019 10:47

it's just a boring job to me now, i have no love for it any more. as a child i loved computers, they fascinated me, i wanted to know everything about the memory and the CPU....

flagvelusip

I'm very okay with any sort of typing... I just struggle to organize code when there are so many styles of coding in one language. At least in python there are sane propositions for style, data flow, even class organization... but in js, I don't know...
