There are what appear to be dupes for
Greg [PL]
(Grzegorz Kwiatek)
that are not marked as "Dupe".

@velusip Looks like someone already fixed it. Noting for later, unless some other admin gets to it first... there's a bunch of silence at the end of Xilo. However it' in need of a replacement, so perhaps it's better just to do that than fix the dead air. |

Nate, I don't know why that helps. The lower ID means that it's *older* (unless you wrap around, which admittedly is almost unthinkable, because we use very very large integers as IDs). But so what? The older one isn't magic, and you still need to merge them together, and it's quite possible that the newer one has got important information that the older one is missing.

"The lower ID means that it's *older*" I can't speak for the implementation of this site, but as far as databases go, that's a dangerous assumption to make. Especially for larger databases, sequences used as primary key values should not be assumed to be sequential. Doing so can create all kinds of performance and reliability issues (hot bits, sequence contention, etc.). |

I would just choose whichever has more information than its clone. Said clone could then be marked as Dupe.
