Here's the actual file for  Pattern Skank (Compo Edit) : http://modland.com/pub/modules/Protracker/Hoffman/pattern%20skank.modThe replacement I uploaded was that of Pattern Skank (Vocal Edit) . I couldn't find the compo version prior.

I have replaced the "Pattern Skank" MOD file (you should have seen VLC struggle with that pattern monster, trying to work out where the seek bar should be during playback!). I don't think I can add a link to an artist, except their official Web site (am I missing something?) -- maybe this is restricted to full admins. So I haven't been able to add the DemoZoo link for h0ffman. |

with the following comment: "this tune is way too long for a radio station." But Nectarine has five longer unlocked tunes which regularly get requested. Doesn't seem fair to keep this one locked.

The platform "Atari STe" has been changed to "Atari ST/STe" but this is wrong since Atari ST music mostly can be found under the generic AY/YM2149 platform. Atari STe platform's name should be returned and the platform's text should be changed to something like this: "Platform for the music that utilizes Atari STe's PCM hardware capabilities - only PCM hardware or both YM2149 and PCM (but not plain YM2149 even if it plays PCM through the software). Atari STe can play 8-bit PCM samples at 6258 Hz, 12517 Hz, 25033 Hz or 50066 Hz on one or two hardware channels that are often split by the software." This was the purpose of the platform when it was created. Atari STe's mod music is technically similar to Amiga's and there is no point to put it under AY/YM2149 platform since it usually does not have any YM2149 sound. To have a real Atari ST platform is difficult since we should separate ST songs from other AY/YM2149 songs which would be quite a task. |
